Composition

75% cold pressed flaxseed oil
25% herbal tincture blend consisting of:

Nettle: A powerful adaptogen and a rich source of phytonutrients; chlorophyll, sterols, polyphenols, lignans and gallic acid. Nettle contains the flavonoid quercetin to support itch free skin. Aids circulation and kidney function. Contains iron, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, vitamins A, C K & B.

Sarsaparilla: Supports itch free skin and a healthy immune system. Packed with antioxidants, phytochemicals and saponins. Contains trace minerals iron, magnesium, selenium, calcium and zinc and vitamins A, C, D and B complex.

Chamomile: A powerful relaxing, calming & soothing herb. A powerful antioxidant. Contain flavonoids apigenin, quercetin, patulin, chrysin and luteolin which provide antihistamine relief. Aids digestion supports muscle tissues and keeps skin cool, clean, and clear.

Skullcap: Promotes calmness. Supports healthy, clean, clear, and cool skin. Supports liver function - cleansing.

Milk Thistle: An apoptogenic herb with powerful antioxidant properties. Cleansing. Supports liver & kidney health. Aids metabolism. Supports a healthy nervous system and brain. Provides calcium, magnesium, potassium, folate, and vitamin A.

Ginkgo: An apoptogenic herb that promotes a sense of calmness. Maintains good energy. Supports a healthy nervous system and promotes circulation. A natural flavonoid, and antioxidant. Good source of vitamin A, C, B-6, iron, and magnesium.

Liquorice root: An apoptogenic herb that supports the immune system, relieves stress, aids respiration, and maintains good digestion. Also makes the formula taste great!

Skin & Coat Suitability

Suitable for all dogs and puppies over 8 weeks to support skin & coat health.

Feeding Guidelines

Shake for at least 10 seconds before every use. Keep refrigerated at all times.

Feed 1ml to every 2kg of dogs weight with regular food once daily (10kg dog would be 5ml). For acute conditions feed 2ml to every 2kg of dogs weight for 5 days before reverting back to recommended daily feeding amount.

• Toy breeds upto 10 kg: recommended daily feeding amount 5 ml
• Small breeds upto 11-20 kg: recommended daily feeding amount 5-10 ml
• Medium breeds upto 21-30 kg: recommended daily feeding amount 10-15 ml
• Large breeds upto 31-40 kg: recommended daily feeding amount 15-20 ml
• Very Large / Giant Breeds over 40 kg: recommended daily feeding amount 20ml plus 1ml every addional 2kg
  
  

Storage

Store in the fridge once opened and in a cool, dark place prior to opening. Every bottle lasts 12 weeks when stored in the fridge after opening.

NB! Not recommended for pregnant/nursing dogs or puppies under the age of 8 weeks old. Not to be used if your dog is known to be allergic/reactive to any of the ingredients listed or if your dog is taking blood thinning medication (anticoagulants) / blood modulators. For dogs pre and post operation stop feeding 5 days prior to anaesthetic. Please check with your own vet if your dog is taking any medication first as herbs can sometimes affect their absorption.

Why would I need to add a supplement to a ‘complete’ food when it already contains extra ingredients such as herbs/botanicals/oils/added support (for bones/joints/skin/gut)?

Most complete foods, whether dry, tinned or raw, contain only 0.5 - 5% herbs, oils and supplemental ingredients. If you are wishing to support specific aspects of health & wellbeing, a much higher percentage of these ingredients are required to give genuine therapeutic benefits.
Plus, any type of processing reduces the therapeutic effects of herbs, botanicals and oils, so heating, freezing, light or air will affect their integrity by up to 60%.

My dog is really fussy. How will I know if he will like Proflax?

98% of dogs do! Flaxseed oil has a nutty flavour and one of the herbs that we include - liquorice - has a very sweet taste so this combination offers great palatability.

When can I expect to see health benefits?

As our ingredients are fresh, concentrated, active and in liquid form ready to add to food, they are absorbed immediately which means that the supportive health benefits can be seen in a matter of days in some dogs, but in others, it may take a little longer. However, from day 1 your dog will benefit from the specific support of your chosen product.
