What does Fermentiflora contain?

Inulin - inulin obtained from chicory root is a natural prebiotic that acts as a food source for beneficial bacteria in the gut. When fermented in the colon, inulin promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. A balanced and diverse gut microbiome is important for maintaining digestive health and supporting the overall well-being of pets.

Enterococcus faecium - is a probiotic strain that can help pets maintain a healthy balance of gut microflora, promoting improved digestion and nutrient absorption. It is especially beneficial for pets with acute or chronic diarrhea, including situations related to dietary changes, stress, or antibiotic treatment.

Lacticaseibacillus paracasei - Lactobacillus paracasei is known for its ability to support digestion by improving the balance of good bacteria in the gut. Since a significant portion of a pet's immune system resides in the gut, a healthy balance of gut bacteria is critical to immune function. Lactobacillus paracasei can help stimulate the production of immune cells and increase the body's defense mechanisms against infections and diseases in the pet.

What are probiotics?

Probiotics are living microorganisms, which in turn contain several strains of lactic acid bacteria. Probiotics, or good bacteria, help digest food, absorb nutrients and vitamins, improve mood, treat certain intestinal problems, keep pathogenic bacteria under control and support the immune system.

Probiotics are used to improve digestion and restore normal intestinal flora. This includes a variety of issues such as diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, yeast infections, and more.

Are probiotics necessary for pets?

Dogs that are generally healthy and have a balanced diet with no digestive issues may not need probiotics as their gut bacteria may already be balanced.

Dogs with certain medical conditions, such as chronic digestive problems, food allergies, inflammatory bowel disease, or a weakened immune system, may benefit from probiotics. Also, pets facing stressful situations such as travel, changes in routine or recovering from surgery, as probiotics can help manage stress-related indigestion.

Dogs that have received a course of antibiotics may benefit from probiotics to rebalance the beneficial gut bacteria that may have been destroyed by medication. Probiotics can help prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhea and support recovery.

Puppies and senior dogs may have different needs when it comes to probiotics. Puppies digestive systems are still developing, so probiotics can help support healthy gut flora. Older dogs may benefit from probiotics to support digestion and immune function as they age.
