How does it work?

The product has a double effectiveness:

  • crunchy soy flakes clean the surface of the teeth mechanically, removing food residues during friction, preventing the formation of new dental plaque and tartar;

  • spirulina, green tea extract and peppermint oil contained in gelatin have an effective disinfecting effect, helping to strengthen the immune system and improve breath.

Product's active ingredients are absorbed into the animal's blood vessels and excreted through saliva, preventing plaque from sticking to the teeth and softening the tartar that has formed. The result is whiter and cleaner teeth and fresher breath.

Jellies doesn't contain sugar and are highly palatable to pets, making them an excellent choice for picky dogs.

What causes dental problems in dogs?

Tartar in dogs is formed from the roof, which hardens on the surface of the tooth. The coating causes gingivitis, or inflammation of the gums, in dogs, which can develop into periodontitis.

Periodontitis, i.e. inflammation of the tooth attachment tissues, spreads the inflammation to other parts of the body and thus worsens the dog's general health. It can also lead to tooth loss. Symptoms of gingivitis, or inflammation of the gums, are redness, swelling, bleeding and bad breath.

If you notice one or more of the following symptoms in your dog, he may have a dental health problem:

  • It takes more time after eating and the dog swallows the food whole

  • prefers soft food to dry food and has stopped chewing bones

  • holds the head in a different position while eating, e.g. due to using one side of the chin

  • bad breath

  • tooth loss

  • plaque on the teeth or bleeding gums

  • itching around the mouth - wipes around the mouth with a paw

  • loss of appetite and weight loss

What does the Dental jelly chews product contain?

Spirulina is a microscopic freshwater algae that grows naturally in warm fresh water lakes, natural springs and salt water. Spirulina is one of the most powerful antioxidants known for its high protein and vitamin content. It is a powerful source of vitamins A, B complex, as well as minerals such as iron, potassium and calcium.

Soy flakes (soy lecithin) - Natural lecithin is mainly obtained from beans and bean products. Lecithin is a vegetable protein that is obtained in small amounts from food and is also produced by the body itself. Lecithin is extremely necessary for the functioning of all body systems, it takes part in the formation of cell membranes (especially in the liver, kidneys and brain), so it is the structural basis of the body.

Peppermint Oil – Mint is a natural antimicrobial agent that removes bacteria from the mouth and helps keep breath fresh, and is also rich in nutrients and contains calcium, magnesium and iron, which play a key role in a balanced diet and overall good health.

Green tea extract comes from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, the same plant from which green tea is made. Green tea extract has both anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties that can reduce inflammation in the body and support the immune system to fight infections.

What age can Dental jelly chews be used from?

The product is suitable for all dogs from 3 months of age.

Is my dog going to like how jellies taste?

Jellies are highly palatable to pets, making them an excellent choice for picky dogs.

Does soy lecithin cause allergies?

The main allergen in soy is soy protein. However, soy lecithin is obtained from soybean oil instead. Soy lecithin does not contain soy protein, but for dogs that are more sensitive to soy, we recommend consulting a veterinarian beforehand.

Are Dental jelly chews suitable for use only in case of dental problems, or is the product also suitable for prophylactic or preventive purposes?

Dental jelly chews are suitable for consumption both for preventive purposes and for existing dental problems. Just as we humans brush our teeth regularly, we must learn to take care of our pet's oral health as well. The best way to fight oral problems is prevention. By consuming the product daily, you reduce plaque and prevent the formation of new tartar and keep your pet's teeth clean and mouth fresh.

It is important to note that oral care products do not solve advanced dental problems and do not replace regular veterinary checkups and professional dental cleanings.

How long does the product need to be used to see results?

The effectiveness of the product may vary depending on several factors, including the individual response of the dog, the severity of existing dental problems and the frequency of use. With consistent use, the results appear within 2-8 weeks and last as long as the product is used.
While the product may help prevent new plaque from forming and help gradually reduce existing plaque, the product may have limitations in removing hardened tartar.
