How to Recognize Quality Oil

To ensure the preservation of oil quality, choose a dark bottle and prefer bottles without a pump.

Choose a Dark Bottle

Storing and packaging oil in a dark bottle is crucial for several reasons:

Light Sensitivity. Oils, especially those containing polyunsaturated fatty acids (e.g., olive oil, flaxseed oil), are sensitive to light. Direct exposure to light can accelerate the oxidation process, leading to spoilage and changes in taste. A dark bottle reduces light penetration and helps maintain the oil's quality for a longer time.

Free Radicals. Light exposure can cause the formation of free radicals in the oil, which further accelerate the oxidation process. Oxidized oil not only loses its nutritional value but can also become harmful to health.

Temperature Fluctuations. Dark bottles also help mitigate the impact of temperature fluctuations on the oil. Heat can speed up oxidation and cause the oil to spoil.

Prefer Bottles without a Pump

Using bottles with pumps has several drawbacks:

Air Ingress. Each time the pump is used, air can enter the bottle. Air contains oxygen, which can also speed up the oxidation of the oil. This oxidation process can cause the oil to spoil faster.

Control Issues. It can be difficult to control the exact amount of oil dispensed from pump bottles. This can lead to excessive use of oil, resulting in more frequent opening and air exposure.

Pump Cleanliness. Pumps can be difficult to clean, and oil residues may accumulate inside them. Over time, these residues can spoil and affect the quality of the fresh oil.

Our product range includes high-quality oil products that adhere to these recommendations for production and packaging, ensuring the preservation of oil quality.
